Temiskaming Community Foundation

About us

The Temiskaming Community Foundation uses two main principles in its decisions.

It aims for sustainability in its actions. It sees itself as a very long-term financial instrument. That is why it pursues a conservative investment policy that always preserves the capital entrusted to it and spends only the return on that capital. For example, our scholarships and many of our programs are paid for by permanent endowment income and are structured to be perpetual. This is the philosophy at the heart of our mission.

It should be noted that some of our activities are paid for by annual fundraising events that are not part of these permanent endowments.

The Foundation always aims to have a significant impact on our community. It wants to be an agent of improvement and real gain. Whether it’s scholarships, housing for seniors, a health care building or a community activity center, we want to make a difference.
